Major Cities: Caguas

It is a municipality of Puerto Rico founded in 1775. It is divided into 11 districts: Bairoa, Río Cañas, Cañabon​​, Cañaboncito, Thomas Castro, Beatriz, San Antonio, Turabo, Borinquen, Pueblo and San Salvador. It has an estimated population of 142,556 for 2004 and is located in a valley in the center-east of the island, less than 20 miles from the capital of San Juan. Known as "The Valley of Turabo" and "Creole City". Its name originates from "Caguax". The Gentile is "cagueños"
